Travel Action Group
The travel Action Group exists to promote and encourage sustainable travel in Brampton and the surrounding area.
We will do this by raising awareness of travel alternatives, campaigning for improvement of travel options, working in partnership and initiating activities.
Walking and Cycling survey
With the support of Brampton Parish Council the Travel Action Group have designed a survey to gather views and perceived issues about local access, with a focus on walking and cycling routes. Through the help of the Brampton Churches Newsletter distribution team the survey has gone out to over 2,000 households in Brampton enclosed in the April edition of the Churches Newsletter.
Walkers are Welcome
Brampton has been selected by Cumbria County Council for a number of reviews and assessments over the years as a town with great potential as a hub for developing walking and cycling. The Rights of Way, Socio-Economic Assessment Pilot 2006 selected Brampton out of the whole of Cumbria. Sustainable Brampton Travel Action Group has now succeeded in making Brampton an official Walkers are Welcome town. For more information on Walkers are Welcome please click here.
